Alien Carapace used to be a biomass item which could be retrieved from dead Hogs, Alpha Hogs, Flying Crab Hatchers and Space Giraffe-Tick-Penguin-Whale Things. It could be directly used as fuel in the Biomass Burner or vehicles.
It was functionally replaced with 
Hog Remains and 
Hatcher Remains. Loading a save created before Patch 0.6.0.0 converts Alien Carapaces to Hog Remains.
Obtaining[]
Alien Carapace used to be obtained from dead Hogs, Alpha Hogs, Flying Crab Hatchers and Space Giraffe-Tick-Penguin-Whale Things.
- Hogs dropped one Alien Carapace.
- Alpha Hogs dropped three Alien Carapaces.
- Flying Crab Hatchers dropped one Alien Carapace.
- Space Giraffe-Tick-Penguin-Whale Things dropped one Alien Carapace.
