The Satisfactory world features many different species of flora.
Most of it can be cut down using a Chainsaw, which will grant Wood and Leaves (or small amounts of other resources, see below). It is highly profitable to cut down trees using the Chainsaw, as it will always grant more resources than what is needed for one Solid Biofuel.
Foliage cannot be planted and will never regrow, so with enough dedication, all of it can be removed from the world.
Harvestable plant list[]
The quantity of items obtainable from the plants below is influenced by the plant size.
The table below is a work in progress. Please help by fill in the data.

In the list above, certain species may or may not require a Chainsaw to harvest them, this depends on their size where only the larger variant requires a Chainsaw, in such cases the larger plant yield is indicated at the 2nd line.
Hitbox[]
Most trees or plants with visible wooden parts in their body have hitboxes, which can cause obstructions to the pioneer's and vehicle's movement and also encroach buildings. Pioneers sometimes can get stuck within a tree but can be unstuck by crouching or sliding, by using a Chainsaw, or by respawning from the Esc menu. Some vehicles have the ability to knock down trees as well. When constructing buildings, and when using the auto-snapping mode, by holding down the Ctrl during placement, buildings will be automatically moved upwards to avoid small trees, while large trees will disable the building placement.
Bushes, or plants without wooden parts, including flowers, do not have hitboxes, so they will not cause obstructions.
Gigantic trees[]
Many species of trees have a gigantic variant. They cannot be removed by any means.
Current issue[]
A lot of foliage in the Red Jungle biome is invisible, although its hitboxes are still present, hindering player movement and building placement.
Trivia[]
- On April 1, 2021, the April Fools Special Event was introduced. This event was repeated on April 1, 2022. During both events some Flora replaced with random equipment, which made it appear in strange sizes, and sometimes in mid-air.
History[]
- Patch 0.4.0.7: April Fools 2021 Temporary Change - some Flora replaced with random equipment, which made it appear in strange sizes, and sometimes in mid-air
