The Oil Extractor is a building used to extract fluid Crude Oil from its resource node. The default extraction rate is 120 m³ per minute, which is affected by node purity (see below).
Extraction
Crude Oil extraction rate (m3/min), with respect to Clock Speed and Oil node purity:
Extraction ratio | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|
Node purity | 100% | 150% | 200% | 250% |
Impure | 60 | 90 | 120 | 150 |
Normal | 120 | 180 | 240 | 300 |
Pure | 240 | 300*/360 | 300*/480 | 300*/600 |
To calculate the oil pump mining speed:
120 x [node purity modifier] x [overclock percent] = Extraction rate
Node purity modifier :
- Impure = 0.5x,
- Normal = 1.0x,
- Pure = 2.0x.
- *Due to pipelines only being able to support 300 m³ per minute of fluid transfer, it is not recommended to overclock an Oil Extractor on a Pure node beyond 125%. Extractors on Pure nodes can still benefit from consuming less power compared to a Normal node at 250%.
Overclocking
The Oil Pump can be overclocked up to 250%, at the cost of greatly increased power consumption.Template:CraftingOverclockingTable
History
- Patch 0.3:
- Replaced the Oil Pump.
- Build cost changed from 5 Heavy Modular Frame, 10 Motor, and 30 Cable to 15 Motor, 20 Encased Industrial Beam and 60 Cable
- Removed conveyor output, now outputs Crude Oil as a fluid into a connected Pipeline
- Patch 0.1.5: changed crafting cost from 2 Heavy Modular Frame, 3 Motor, and 10 Cable to 5 Heavy Modular Frame, 10 Motor, and 30 Cable
